Performance Based Contracts (PBCs)

Performance Based Contracts (PBCs) are contracts that focus more on the result than the process; they allow government agencies to acquire services via contracts that define what is to be achieved, not necessarily how it is to be done. Agencies are provided with best-value products and services through pre-screened contractors who have the freedom to bring new approaches to the table. PBCs typically include fee for service contracts, per-transaction fees, and per-user fees.
